Halifax,  – The Elton John concerts presented in Halifax this weekend broke the two night attendance record at the Metro Centre. More than 25,000 attended the September 26 and 27 concerts.

Elton John’s Rocket Man * Number Ones 2008 Tour continues his Atlantic Canada sweep with a concert tonight in Moncton, Tuesday in Saint John (New Brunswick) and Thursday & Friday in St.John’s (Newfoundland).

Elton John has sold more than 200 million records and continues to add innovative work to his personal repertoire of 29 consecutive Top 40 hits, 35 gold and 25 platinum albums.

Rocket Man • Number Ones, released in March 2007, debuted in the top 10 and features newly compiled and digitally mastered greatest hits spanning the first three decades of the singer/songwriter’s career.
