Halifax—Atlantic Business Magazine inducted Frederick MacGillivray into its Hall of Fame at the publication’s Top 50 CEO Awards Gala, held at the World Trade & Convention Centre last evening. Mr. MacGillivray, former President & CEO of Trade Centre Limited from 1994 to 2009, was also awarded his fifth Top 50 CEO Award during the gala in recognition of his results-oriented, civic-minded and outstanding leadership. Atlantic Business Magazine Hall of Fame inductees are five-time Top 50 CEO award winners.
“It comes as no surprise to those of us who have worked with Fred over the years that he has again been recognized. We proudly congratulate him on this wonderful achievement,” said Scott Ferguson, Interim President & CEO of Trade Centre Limited. “His leadership created an organization that generates tremendous economic spin-offs for this province and because of his vision, Halifax now has an international reputation for hosting stellar major events.”
Mr. MacGillivray was among four 2009 Hall of Fame inductees. Other CEOs inducted were: Jerry Byrne, DFB Group, St John’s, NL; Hollis Cole, ADI Group Inc., Fredericton, NB; and Dennis Campbell, President, Ambassatours Gray Line, Halifax, NS.
