President & CEO, Trade Centre Limited

Scott Ferguson was appointed President & CEO of Trade Centre Limited, effective September 29, 2009.
A native of Glace Bay, Scott joined Trade Centre Limited in 1985 holding several management positions during his tenure including serving as TCL’s Executive Vice-President and then as Interim President & CEO.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University (1998-2000) and a Bachelors of Arts Degree (Economics) from Acadia University. Scott also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada.
Scott serves in the following capacities: Board of the Hotel Association of Nova Scotia, HRM Strategic Urban Partnership Committee, Community Leadership Advisory Council, Co-chair of the Annual Play with the Stars Golf Tournament in support of the Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia, Governor of the 2011 Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia and the 2011 Feed Nova Scotia Canstruction and Great Canadian Food Fight events. He is also a member of the Convention Centres of Canada organization and the International Association of Congress Centres.
In 2011, Scott was named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs by Atlantic Business Magazine. Past accomplishments include co-chairing the 2011 Canada Winter Games Bid committee and serving as the Halifax Chair for the 2008 World Hockey Championship, an event that won the 2009 Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance PRESTIGE Award for the Sport Event of the Year.
