President & CEO, Trade Centre Limited

Scott Ferguson was appointed President & CEO of Trade Centre Limited, effective September 29, 2009.

A native of Glace Bay, Scott joined Trade Centre Limited in 1985. Over his 24 years with the organization, he has held senior management positions, progressing to his role as TCL’s Executive Vice-President and then as Interim President & CEO from April 1 to September 28, 2009.

He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University (1998-2000) and a Bachelors of Arts Degree (Economics) from Acadia University.

Scott serves on the Board for the Hotel Association of Nova Scotia, Downtown Halifax Business Commission and is on the Major Gifts Committee for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Opening Minds Capital Campaign. He is also a member of the Convention Centres of Canada organization and the International Association of Congress Centers. Most recently, Scott served as the Halifax Chair for the 2008 World Hockey Championship, an event that the Sport Alliance of Canada named as the 2008 Sport Event of the Year.
